About Cynthia & Jeff

“Jeff and I met a little over five years ago. During that time, I was bartending at JJ Kelley’s on the weekends while finishing my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Apparently, Jeff was a “regular” at the same restaurant I worked at almost 10 years ago, but our paths never crossed. Jeff won me over by bringing me Starbucks every Sunday while he visited and watched NFL games. He knew I needed the caffeine boost to go home and study.

In the five years we've been together, breweries have been a large part of our date night rotation. Naturally Jeff chose to propose to me at a brewery- 18th Street Brewery. When Jeff and I started talking about our future together I had two requirements 1. My engagement ring had to be from James & Sons and the ring had to be rose gold. Well, Jeff exceeded my expectations- he proposed to me with a BEAUTIFUL Fana Rose Gold princess cut ring. I love it!

For as long as I can remember James & Sons was my family’s go to jeweler. I have many memories of going to the James & Sons in Calumet City with my parents and grandma. One of my favorites pieces is a beautiful gold ring with my birthstone (Topaz) and two smaller diamonds on each side my grandma bought for me.

We both got our wedding bands from James & Sons in Schererville with Christina. Christina is the sweetest sales associate.  Christina helped Jeff pick his wedding gift for me which is a beautiful rose gold princess cut diamond necklace.”
