History of Roberto Coin
The brand was created in 1996 by Roberto Coin himself. The Italian jewelry designer takes inspiration from many places around the world but is drawn toward his home of Italy. You can see his inspirations in collections like Love In Verona, which feature four-petal flowers at the heart of each piece. You can also find a hidden ruby in each piece. Coin places them in each piece as a message of goodwill to the wearer. Come find the ruby in Chicago, Naperville, & Orland Park!
He took great inspiration from the classic Shakespeare tale of Romeo and Juliet. “In the medieval period, the time of Romeo and Juliet, can you imagine the hills of Verona? It was all natural flowers,” Coin explains. Other collections like Designer Gold, Perfect Diamond Hoops, and Tiny Treasures are full of beautiful staple pieces with impeccable attention to detail and careful craftsmanship.

The Love In Verona Collection features a four-petal motif throughout each piece. Whether engraved or crafted in diamonds, the motif is prominently displayed in the collection’s jewelry. You can see the petal design in the Love In Verona Bangle, as it is carefully placed around the cuff in diamonds. In addition to the inspiration of Shakespeare, you might also notice the petal motif’s inspiration – Coin’s home of Italy and its architectural designs.
