Winter Proposal Ideas

Why Should I Propose in the Winter?
We know winter is a chilly season, but it makes for a beautiful setting for a proposal and photos. Where Should I Propose This Winter?
We’ve chosen two lovely spots to propose to your significant other. For those close to Chicago, the Chicago Botanic Garden is a peaceful, scenic environment. In the winter, the trees are decked out in holiday lighting and accompanied by snow, perfect for a romantic proposal!
If you’re closer to northwest Indiana, Valparaiso’s Central Plaza is a great spot for a winter date night to pop the question. Walk down Lincolnway, and see the street and its shops decorated for the holiday season! Along the walk stop for dinner at Radius before heading to Central Park Plaza for ice skating, then pop the question when the time is right. Valparaiso’s Plaza is decorated beautifully for the holiday season, sure to make a great backdrop for engagement photos!
When Should I Get an Engagement Ring?
Set aside 4-6 weeks before the day you want to propose to give enough time to find the right style, cut, and size.
